Howlya! to Crusade for Collecting
Jennifer Schwartz with Lady Blue
This project has surely got my attention, and I seriously suggest checking it out. Art, photography, travel and spreading the love of art, all rolled into one sweet endeaver? HOWLYA! That’s something to get excited about!
The Crusade for Collecting is a super sweet photography project, driven by Jennifer Schwartz in her VW Van, Lady Blue. The mobile photo exhibition is literally rolling-in to a city near you! A revivalist movement, engaging the public with art and empower a new generation of collectors will spontaneously pop-up in cities across the USA March - June 2013.
Moving beyond the traditional boundaries of the art world, the Crusade provides a platform to reach audiences in real world settings and foster awareness around the importance of buying original art and supporting the artists making it. Via guerrilla style exhibition, the core of the nation’s public becomes acquainted and engaged with art in a spontaneously memorable way.

Jennifer Schwartz is the mastermind and creative guru behind the crusade. She’s not shy when it comes to creating a scene for photography. When she’s not eliminating barriers between people and collecting through her gallery and special projects, you’ll find her penning the Crusade for Art blog, lecturing and teaching, reviewing portfolios at PhotoNOLA, PhotoLucida, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, FotoFest, and others (not done yet!) and curating exhibitions including the Lishui Photo Festival in Lishui, China in 2011. Ta-dah! That’s one busy woman making things happen in the world with art. and photography. You gotta say HOWLYA to that!
The Crusade for Collecting has 501c(3) status through a fiscal sponsorship program with the New York Foundation for the Arts.
